Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise privacy engineering and data protection capabilities across data environments. You will drive architecture, strategy, and PET deployment that safeguards regulated data while enabling compliant data use.

You will partner with legal, compliance, engineering, and product teams to implement privacy-by-design practices and regulatory controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years advancing Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, or related technical disciplines.
• 5+ years designing and deploying enterprise-scale data protection capabilities.
• Strong software engineering foundation with 5+ years using Python, Java, Go, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across structured and unstructured data.
• Design and deploy Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) like encryption, tokenization, anonymization, DLP, and data classification.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity teams to embed privacy-by-design principles.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations to mitigate risks.
• Drive governance metrics, automation, and continuous improvement to strengthen privacy posture.
