Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise privacy engineering and data protection across structured and unstructured data. You will drive PETs deployments, data discovery, and governance while partnering with engineering, legal, and compliance teams to ensure privacy-by-design across the organization.

You will guide risk assessments and threat modeling, shaping scalable architectures that balance innovation with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing privacy and data protection controls aligned to GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA and similar regimes.
• 5+ years deploying enterprise-scale data protection capabilities including encryption, tokenization, DLP and PETs.
• 5+ years operating in cloud-native DevSecOps with CI/CD and IaC.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional privacy, data protection, or cybersecurity initiatives.
• Strong programming/scripting in Python, Java, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and execution of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering across structured and unstructured data.
• Design, deploy, and optimize PETs and other privacy-preserving solutions with governance in mind.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, and compliance to embed privacy-by-design principles.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, threat modeling, and control evaluations to support audits and regulatory obligations.
• Drive governance metrics, automation, and continuous privacy posture improvement.
