Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise data protection by designing scalable privacy and security solutions. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, legal and compliance teams to embed privacy-by-design and meet evolving regulatory demands.

The role emphasizes risk assessments, data governance, and the adoption of PETs across structured and unstructured data. A strong background in cloud security and programming is essential for success.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or related technical disciplines.
5+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise data protection capabilities.
5+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions using one or more programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, Go.
5+ years of experience in cloud and DevSecOps environments.
3+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale privacy initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead strategy and implementation of enterprise data protection and privacy engineering.
Design and optimize Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) to protect data while enabling business innovation.
Partner with cross-functional teams to embed privacy-by-design and meet regulatory requirements.
Conduct privacy risk assessments, impact assessments, and threat modeling.
Drive governance, metrics, automation, and continuous improvement of data protection.
