Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Lead Data Privacy Engineer to advance enterprise privacy engineering and data protection across structured and unstructured data environments. You will lead the strategy, design, and implementation of PETs and DLP to protect sensitive data while enabling secure data use.

The role requires collaboration with engineering, product, legal, and compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into scalable architectures and governance controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years advancing Privacy Engineering, Security Engineering, Data Protection, or related disciplines aligned to GDPR/CCPA/HIPAA.
• 5+ years designing enterprise-scale data protection capabilities (encryption, tokenization, DLP, PETs).
• Strong software engineering foundation with Python/Java or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation of privacy engineering across data environments.
• Design and deploy PETs, encryption, tokenization, anonymization, and data classification.
• Partner with legal, compliance, and product teams to embed privacy-by-design.
