Burtch Works is seeking a Lead Analyst, Data Platform Engineering for a client in the US. You will own Snowflake administration, data pipelines, and agent-enabled AI initiatives across multi-account environments.

You will design and maintain curated data layers powering dashboards and AI copilots, while collaborating with data architecture and BI teams. The role emphasizes security, reliability, and continuous platform innovation, including testing Private Preview features and enabling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, database/platform administration, or business intelligence.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience administering Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform in production.
• Hands-on experience with a multi-account Snowflake architecture.
• Strong SQL programming skills.
• Experience with data ingestion and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran/HVR, Matillion, dbt, Coalesce, Postman).
• Familiarity with AI/LLM enablement and tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Snowflake Cortex Code.
• Familiarity with agile development practices.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on practical problem-solving within constraints.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with IT and business leads daily.

Responsibilities

• Snowflake Platform Administration: manage users, roles, warehouses, RBAC/RLS/CLS, security policies, and configurations; monitor health, performance, and cost; audit security issues; manage inter-account availability; evaluate Private Preview features.
• Data Pipeline & Ingestion Engineering: design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines; transform workflows across Foundation, Processed, and Curated layers; monitor and troubleshoot pipelines; onboard new data sources.
• AI & Agent Enablement: enable, test, and roll out AI applications and copilots; configure agents and integratons; collaborate on context-layer efforts for queries.
• Curated Data & Semantic Views: build curated datasets and models; design Semantic Views; work with BI tools to meet reporting needs; ensure data production-readiness.
• Organizational Support & Enablement: serve as go-to Snowflake expert; document architecture and runbooks; train team members and business users.
