Job summary

Egen is seeking a senior Data Platform Architect to lead end-to-end data lakehouse initiatives on Google Cloud Platform and Databricks. You will translate customer goals into robust architectural blueprints and hands-on solutions.

In this role you will design real-time and batch data pipelines, establish governance, security, and metadata practices, and mentor delivery teams to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions across client engagements.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years progressive software engineering and data platform experience.
• 5+ years architecting data platforms on GCP and/or Databricks.
• Experience with data lakehouse, medallion architectures, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and implementation of scalable Data Lakehouse solutions on GCP and Databricks.
• Collaborate with customers to translate goals into blueprints and actionable plans.
• Design data pipelines for real-time and batch ingestion with modern orchestration.
• Establish data cataloging, metadata management, lineage, and data quality practices.
• Define data security, access control, and governance models per standards.
• Mentor engineers and ensure architectural consistency across deliverables.
• Balance strategic architecture with hands-on delivery and POCs.
• Drive adoption, scalability, and long-term maintainability with stakeholders.
