Job summary

Global Alliant, Inc. seeks a Data Lead Architect to shape enterprise data strategies and implement scalable data pipelines. You will lead a team of data engineers and drive Architecture across EDW and data lakehouse platforms on cloud infrastructure.

The role emphasizes mentoring, governance, and HIPAA/CMS compliance while delivering end-to-end data solutions using Iceberg/Delta Lake, Spark, Databricks, and Airflow in an AWS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Math or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years IT system design, with 7+ years in data engineering or cloud data architecture.
• Leadership experience and HIPAA/CMS interoperability knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor data engineers in scalable data pipelines.
• Architect Medallion Architecture Data Lakehouse (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Design EDW on cloud platforms (AWS) using Iceberg or Delta Lake.
• Develop Dimensional Models with Star/Snowflake schemes.
• Build ETL/ELT workflows with Glue, Spark, Databricks, Airflow.
• Work with AWS services (Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation).
• Ensure HIPAA and CMS compliance through governance, lineage, and encryption.
