Empower Retirement, LLC is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and platforms. You will work with SAS Viya, Amazon Redshift, and Snowflake, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, governed data solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

You will translate complex business needs into reusable data models, drive CI/CD, and collaborate across teams in a hybrid U.S. location.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 6–8+ years of data engineering experience with enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT expertise.
• Hands-on Snowflake engineering experience and AWS proficiency.
• SAS/SAS Viya experience preferred; SQL and ETL background welcomed.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced data pipelines and ingestion frameworks, coding SQL, Python, and ETL components.
• Guide technical execution of complex data initiatives across teams and modernize processes.
• Support and troubleshoot SAS Viya and SQL-based production workflows; ensure monitoring and recovery.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and reusable datasets.
• Optimize data platforms for performance, scalability, and cost, with Snowflake focus.
• Enforce data governance, security, and quality standards.
• Mentor engineers, document processes, and ensure safe code through reviews and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with architects to align solutions with enterprise direction and communicate decisions clearly.
