Job summary

Redwood Logistics, LLC is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to guide a team in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, a data vault, and data warehouses/marts. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver key metrics and shape data strategy.

The role requires 8+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python skills, and experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, and cloud platforms. Remote within the U.S. with a competitive compensation range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of technology experience with modern data stacks and warehouses.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning expertise.
• Proficiency with Python (Pandas, NumPy, JSON/CSV) and related libraries.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and data tools.
• Familiarity with data vaults, data warehouses, and marts.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines and data governance.
• Leading teams and aligning data strategy with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers across multiple projects.
• Oversee backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization for data initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute data strategy.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data vaults.
• Develop and maintain Data Warehouse and Data Marts to deliver metrics.
• Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and validation across systems.
• Evaluate new platforms and tools to improve data infrastructure.
• Promote best practices in deployments, monitoring, and data democratization.
