Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Principal Data Engineer to shape discovery data products and models for Biologics Discovery. You will partner with scientists and AI/ML teams to deliver durable, reusable data assets and ensure data quality, provenance, and interoperability across systems.

You will design schemas, lead cross-functional initiatives, and apply enterprise standards while advancing AI-driven workflows in a non-remote Spring House, PA location.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years designing and delivering data products and analytics-ready datasets in pharma/biotech.
• Proficient Python and SQL with cloud data platform experience.
• Experience with FAIR data principles, metadata, lineage, and provenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of discovery data products, models, and integration requirements.
• Translate scientific needs into data contracts and delivery criteria.
• Define access patterns for analytics and AI workflows.
• Partner with enterprise teams to apply standards in Biologics Discovery.
• Champion data quality, provenance, and documentation.
