Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Senior Data Scientist dedicated to the Biologics Discovery organization. You will design robust data features and curate training datasets, partnering with ISD to advance molecular property models and enable faster, more trustworthy AI.

The role sits within the DDSAI team, with opportunities to collaborate across ISD and In Silico Discovery, shaping how AI learns from biologics experiments in a global R&D setting.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of applied ML experience with model development and evaluation.
• Strong Python, ML stack experience (PyTorch, scikit-learn) and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design featurization and model-ready datasets from biological sequence and assay data.
• Collaborate with data engineers to specify features, labels, and aggregation levels.
• Curate, document, and version datasets for reproducibility and traceability.
• Partner with ISD and Discovery scientists to align ML problems with real decisions in DMTL.
