Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Operations lead responsible for managing one or more data centers, and coordinating performance monitoring, incident resolution, and expansion projects. You will partner cross-functionally to optimize power, cooling, and infrastructure efficiency while ensuring reliability and continuity of services.

The role emphasizes proactive health monitoring, incident management, and execution of large-scale deployments, with a focus on Lean/Six Sigma-aligned improvements

Responsibilities

• Data Center Site Portfolio Management: Independently responsible for at least one and occasionally multiple Data Centers.
• Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Leads performance trend analyses related to capacity, temperature, availability, cleanliness, and other aspects; proactively monitors facility health (power, cooling, security) and implements major enhancements.
• Issue Management and Automation: Leads on-the-ground resources to resolve incidents, supports escalated complex technical issues, and deploys automation and monitoring tools to mitigate problems.
• Data Center Expansion Support: Leads and oversees new region builds and expansion activities, acting as liaison with project teams and data center engineering to manage timelines and capacity needs.
• Installation and Maintenance: Provides oversight for installations, repairs, inventory management, logistics, and component upgrades, including rack deployments and network upgrades.
• Core Responsibilities - Planning & Execution: Manages moderately complex tasks, coordinates timelines for projects, delegates and adjusts plans as needed.
• Collaboration & Partnership: Works across the organization to align expectations and incorporate diverse perspectives.
• Problem Solving: Identifies and addresses moderately complex issues using data to propose solutions and documents problem-solving approaches.
