SolveNow Inc. in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a senior HVAC design engineer with extensive experience in data center HVAC systems. The role requires leading a building mechanical team, coordinating with other disciplines, and delivering final design documentation for complex facilities.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, have 7+ years in HVAC design, and 2+ years in data centers. Hybrid work policy applies, with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote across the US.

Competenze

• Seven (7) or more years' experience in the design of HVAC systems.
• Two (2) or more years' experience in Data Center HVAC systems
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to follow and lead a building mechanical team on a project and to collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.
• Professional Engineer License

Mansioni

• Layout and design of HVAC systems for various types of clients, including electric vehicles, data centers, and heavy industrial facilities.
• Development of the design criteria for the HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling; those with precise temperature/humidity control; special pressurization or clean room requirements.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Layout of Ductwork systems based on a P&ID.
• Development of final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, piping layout, and construction documents for systems like chilled water, cooling water, etc.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
• Mentoring of less experienced staff.
