Job summary

QTS Data Centers in the United States is seeking a Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction MEPR) to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities on multi-campus projects. You will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for updates to executive level, and Excel for budgets.
• Willingness to travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design, preconstruction and construction activities on project(s).
• Maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for each campus.
• Create updates on development program and project status for executive reviews.
• Work with stakeholders and teams to create a master development program and capital budget.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each site project.
• Develop site development plans to meet time, budget and quality targets.
• Write scopes of work for design, construction and commissioning services.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with procurement for equipment delivery.
• Ensure submittals are coordinated with site stakeholders.
• Monitor project budget and cost-to-date; establish and maintain schedules.
• Review pay applications and change orders with contractors.
• Support due diligence for potential new sites and process improvements.
