Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Cedar Rapids, IA invites a Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction MEPR) to lead design, preconstruction, and construction activities on multiple campus projects.

You will partner with facilities, contractors, designers, engineers, and operations to maintain budgets and schedules, manage permits, procurement, and vendor relations, and report progress to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office for executive program updates and budgets.
• Be able to travel as needed for the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, preconstruction, and construction activities on projects.
• Maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for each project.
• Create development program updates for executive reviews and present clearly.
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each site project(s).
• Implement multi-phased site development plans to meet time, budget, quality standards.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor quotes, change orders, and pay applications.
• Collaborate with procurement teams on equipment procurement and delivery.
