Job summary

Acuity Brands, Inc. is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect, Data Center Controls, to drive advanced PLC-based automation for mission-critical environments.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Solutions Architecture, you will design scalable architectures, lead integration of PLC, SCADA, BMS, and IIoT platforms, and collaborate with sales, product management, and engineering teams worldwide. Travel up to 30% may be required; strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in industrial automation and controls engineering.
• Extensive PLC and control system experience.
• Advanced experience with CODESYS and IEC 61131-3.
• Experience with Data Center infrastructure and mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design PLC-based automation for Data Center cooling and critical applications.
• Develop scalable control architectures integrating cooling, electrical infrastructure, energy monitoring, building management systems, and IIoT platforms.
• Create reference architectures, solution blueprints, and deployment standards for enterprise-scale implementations.
