Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Principal Controls Engineer to lead control systems for data center infrastructure, including power and cooling platforms. You will design scalable architectures, develop specifications, and drive validation from simulation to commissioning.

Qualifications

8+ years of control system design and implementation.

Experience with Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP.
Familiar with NFPA, IEC, ISO standards for control systems and safety.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Travel up to 25% for domestic and international assignments.

Responsibilities

Define and own the control system architecture across platforms (PLCs, BMS, EPMS, ATS).
Develop detailed control specifications, functional design docs, and interfaces.
Read and create BOMs, schematics, control diagrams, and sequences.
Validate control systems through simulation, testing, and commissioning.
Lead FAT and SAT for new projects and revisions; support field teams.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and facilities teams.
