Harbor Health is hiring a Principal Engineer, Data Architecture to design core data models and ontologies for our HarborOS platform. You will shape how we model claims, ADT, and EMR feeds to power patient care, risk, and financial decisions, while guiding data stack strategy and governance.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, and own end-to-end data initiatives across clinical operations and engineering teams, leveraging Snowflake, dbt, and real-time processing.

Qualifications

• Deep subject-matter expertise in healthcare payvider data domains (provider- and payer-side).
• Proven experience designing scalable data platforms, Snowflake and real-time processing.
• Fluency with dbt project structure, macro-architecture, and data pipeline orchestration.
• Strong SQL, Python pipeline skills and ability to guide architectural reviews.

Responsibilities

• Architect the Healthcare Data Model and core schemas for Attribution, Risk, and Claims Adjudication.
• Define the data stack strategy (Snowflake, real-time streams, dbt environments).
• Implement deterministic/probabilistic patient matching across fragmented sources (HIEs/EMRs/payers).
• Bridge Clinical Operations and Engineering, translating business needs into architecture.
• Mentor engineers on healthcare data nuances and system design.
• Drive end-to-end ownership of complex data initiatives.
