Job summary

HarmonyCares is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data infrastructure supporting analytics and operations for in‑home primary care services. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience.
• 5+ years in data modeling and solution design in healthcare/health insurance.
• 5+ years in enterprise software in regulated industry (healthcare/financial).
• 5+ years working with clinical and claims data, HIPAA/HITRUST/SOC2 familiarities, EMR integrations.
• 5+ years in enterprise big data platform infrastructure development.
• Recent role in HCLS data engineering space.
• Deep knowledge of modern big data processing, cloud security.
• Expert Python and SQL.
• Databricks experience preferred.
• Data loading with Spark platform.
• Cloud architecture and security.
• DevOps and release engineering.
• SDLC, DevOps, version control, deployment best practices.
• Agile methods, JIRA/ADO/ServiceNow usage.
• Strong critical thinking and collaboration.
• Knowledge of claims data, provider attribution, Medicare/Medicaid, risk adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and user requirements into scalable data solutions focusing on performance and security.
• Develop and maintain ETL code, scalable data models, and rules-engine driven integrations.
• Lead code reviews, mentor juniors, and contribute to DevOps automation.
• Build data integration solutions across platform types with strong security practices.
• Train developers and stakeholders on new solutions and processes.
• Adhere to agile/scrum processes and continuously improve technical skills.
• Support ongoing optimization and problem solving across data pipelines.
