Job summary

The Jonus Group is seeking an Executive Cyber Underwriter to lead underwriting efforts for cyber insurance products. You will assess complex risks and craft innovative solutions, collaborating with brokers, clients, and internal teams to drive profitability while emphasizing risk assessment and mitigation.

You will stay ahead of cyber threats and trends, mentor junior underwriters, and contribute to product development to meet evolving market demands in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Risk Management, or Cybersecurity.
• Proven underwriting experience with a strong focus on cyber insurance.
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity risks and trends across industries.
• Advanced analytical and decision-making skills for large complex risks.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional designations in insurance or cybersecurity are desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite complex cyber insurance risks in line with guidelines.
• Tailor coverage solutions with brokers and clients for evolving cyber risk exposures.
• Stay updated on cyber threats, trends, and technologies to enhance underwriting.

• Lead and mentor junior underwriters to drive development.
• Support marketing through client presentations and industry events.
• Review and improve underwriting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Contribute to innovative insurance products reflecting market needs.
