Job summary

CNA is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to manage a highly complex book of cyber business. You will act as a technical expert, guiding pricing, endorsements and policy decisions with regional scope.

Reporting to the Manager, you will mentor less experienced underwriters, analyze profitability and trends, and develop relationships with agencies and brokers to drive profitable growth across assigned markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; professional designations preferred.
• Typically eight years underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance and underwriting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Manages highly complex underwriting risks; analyzes and reports findings.
• Determines pricing and endorsements for complex risks with limited oversight.
• Recommends underwriting policy and pricing strategy.
• Analyzes profitability and presents reports to management.
• Markets products through agencies and brokers; builds relationships.
• Keeps abreast of state issues and industry trends; mentors juniors.
