Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rancho Bernardo, CA seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 3 or 4) to lead cybersecurity across engineering teams. This full-time onsite role requires a TS clearance and readiness to travel up to 25%.

The candidate will design and validate system security solutions, prepare accreditation packages, and ensure RMF/JSIG compliance for SAP/SCI systems within an IPT structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with 5+ years of related engineering experience; or MS with 3+ years; or PhD with 1+ year.
• Senior Principal: BS with 8 years, MS with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years.
• Active DoD 8140/8570 or CISSP/CSSLP-type certification required.
• Experience preparing and defending accreditation packages as ISSE/ISSM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support cybersecurity execution across engineering, cybersecurity, program, and customer stakeholders.
• Design, develop, integrate, test, verify, and validate system security solutions.
• Prepare, review, and defend accreditation packages as ISSE/ISSM.
• Apply RMF/JSIG requirements for SAP/SCI systems.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to support cybersecurity across the lifecycle.
