Job summary

Mercy seeks a registered nurse to provide patient care within the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process. You will coordinate with the surgical team, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and be accountable for the care of assigned patients.

Minimum requirements include an RN license, graduation from a nursing program (AD/Diploma/BSN), six months of OR experience, and BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Six months OR experience; proficient in Level I requirements per policy.
• BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Uses Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with the surgical team and other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
