Job summary

Specialized Recruiting Group is hiring a Construction Manager for a custom homebuilder client in Charlotte. You will oversee the entire construction process from planning to move-in, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery while managing budgets and subcontractors.

You will interact with homeowners, coordinate inspections, and lead the team to maintain high standards of customer satisfaction throughout the build and warranty periods.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules
• Demonstrated knowledge of new home construction process, scheduling and cost control procedures
• Expertise in construction management software and strong computer skills

Responsibilities

• Manage home construction through all phases to deliver quality homes on time and on budget
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors
• Control project budgets and reduce overages
• Regulate inspection schedules and liaise with local inspectors
• Visit homes daily to identify attention areas and coordinate trades
• Maintain a safe worksite and enforce OSHA policies
• Ensure the homebuilding site is clean and visually appealing
• Manage homeowner relations and provide strong customer service
• Conduct walk-throughs with homeowners during construction and address questions
• Lead new home orientations and ensure move-in condition satisfies buyers
• Handle post-close warranty process including inspections and quality assurance
