Job summary

CK Contracting in Charleston, SC seeks a seasoned Construction Manager for high-end new builds and remodeling projects. Lead field production efficiently and professionally with discerning clients, owning project success from start to finish.

The Project Manager will plan, resource, and time-manage, benchmark labor resources, and maintain budget and scope for multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and code compliance across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Construction or Construction Management required.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in project management within construction for a custom home builder.
• Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
• Strong leadership and time management skills.
• Professionalism in manner and attire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-construction setup and transfer of sales information.
• Attend walkthroughs during estimating phase.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships.
• Contract and budget management.
• Coordinate efforts across architects, designers, and engineers.
• Coordinate with suppliers and order construction materials as needed.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure site policies, safety and cleanliness standards are followed.
• Act as liaison between customer and company.
• Enforce job site safety.
• Manage and report job cost overages.
• Oversee project completion, delivery, and acceptance per contract and specs.
