Job summary

JOEY Restaurants is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a team in a high-energy, hospitality-focused kitchen. You will manage labor budgets, maintain quality standards, and coach partners to deliver iconic culinary experiences across a multi-million-dollar operation.

The role requires 3+ years of culinary experience, valid local/state Food Handler and California RBS certifications, and the ability to train and mentor staff in a fast-paced environment. California location; on-site work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years culinary experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications.
• Strong hospitality mindset with a track record of delivering world-class experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team in prep, cooking, and recipe execution to meet standards.
• Manage labor budgets and food costs while ensuring quality.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe kitchen areas.
• Train team on equipment use and safety procedures; report issues promptly.
• Support recruitment and retain top performers; develop technical knowledge.
