Job description

Role Overview

The CT Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality diagnostic images. They set up and operate CT equipment, position patients, administer contrast media, and perform post-processing of complex protocols such as TAVR and Cardiac CTA. The role includes mentoring colleagues, overseeing departmental operations in the absence of leadership, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Verify orders, assess patient history, ensure correct identification, and follow safety protocols. Respond to emergencies, monitor patient conditions, and provide pre- and post-procedure care. Maintain equipment, ensure image quality, and manage workflow efficiently. Participate in quality control, documentation, and departmental meetings. Support equipment maintenance and infection control standards. Assist with patient transport, clerical tasks, and departmental supplies.

Qualifications & Skills

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience with at least 1 year in CT. Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to work independently, mentor staff, and perform advanced protocols. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control. BLS certification required.
