Job description

This position involves providing high-quality, safe diagnostic imaging using CT technology. The technologist performs a wide range of procedures, including advanced protocols like TAVR and Cardiac CTA, with independence and technical expertise. They set up equipment, position patients, administer contrast media, and ensure image quality while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Key duties include verifying clinician orders, obtaining clinical histories, maintaining patient safety and comfort, managing workflow, and troubleshooting equipment. The role also encompasses leadership tasks such as mentoring staff, managing departmental operations, implementing protocols, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

Candidates must have completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program, hold ARRT Radiography and CT certifications, and BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in CT is required. Skills include excellent communication, patient care, independent functioning, multitasking, and proficiency in advanced CT protocols. Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate effectively is essential.
