Job summary

Truist is seeking an Insurance Servicing professional in the Birmingham area. The role focuses on monitoring insurance processes, ensuring compliance with loan documents, and coordinating with lenders and borrowers on coverage documentation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial property insurance, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office. The position is on-site with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and client service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Property insurance
• Knowledge of various types of commercial property insurance policies
• Insurance agency and/or servicing experience
• Insurance compliance background including government regulations
• Understand complex loan documents and third-party reports
• Strong PC skills with Microsoft Office
• Excellent time management; multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to work under pressure and overtime if required
• Strong customer service skills
• Professional and polished demeanor
• Detail oriented with strong analytical ability
• Ability to assess stakeholders and resolve escalated issues
• Ability to determine feasibility of insurance waivers and justify actions
• Must be accountable and reliable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and self-manage workflow
• Work well within a team and collaborate
• Ability to travel when required

Responsibilities

• Insurance Renewals – monitor processes for evidence of coverage, invoices and documentation
• Insurance Compliance – review policies for loan compliance and compile data
• Insurance Waivers – assess waiver feasibility and risk for lender requests
• Force Placed Insurance – monitor non-compliance and facilitate force placed insurance
• Review casualty losses and advise on coverage and loss proceeds
• Assist with insurance activities for new loan setup and audits
• Subject matter expert for internal teams relating to insurance
• Monitor data in loan servicing systems and drives
• Ensure compliance with Insurance Team policies and propose improvements
• Serve as primary contact for insurance matters for the portfolio
• Other duties as assigned
