Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc is seeking a Senior Technician, a heavy equipment mechanic specializing in crane modernization, repair and maintenance. You will lead field technicians, communicate with management and customers, and perform on‑call, after‑hours work as required.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, safety focus, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Travel may be required, and you will participate in trainings and safety programs while upholding OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years crane repair & maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to work off the ground at various heights.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug test and background checks.
• Basic computer skills for crane inspection programs.

Responsibilities

• On‑call and provide after‑hour services as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generate inspection reports.
• Communicate with Service Manager/Branch Manager to schedule work daily.
• Discuss repair and safety recommendations with customers to improve services.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe working order.
• Operate tools and vehicles safely and report deficiencies.
