Job summary

Young Management Consulting LLC seeks an experienced Counterpoise General Foreman to lead field crews on electric transmission, distribution, and substation projects. You will direct foremen, journeymen, and subcontractors while coordinating with Construction Managers and inspectors.

Ideal candidates have extensive hands-on counterpoise and grounding experience, strong utility construction knowledge, and proven leadership of multiple crews in active sites. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in electric utility transmission, distribution, or substation construction.
• Led field crews as General Foreman, Foreman, Counterpoise Lead, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience installing counterpoise, grounding, and bonding systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall field leadership for counterpoise and grounding crews across projects.
• Direct foremen and crews in daily work activities, assignments, and safety requirements.
• Plan manpower, equipment, and materials for scheduled work.
• Coordinate with Construction Manager and Superintendent on activities.
• Review drawings, grounding plans, and work packages with crews.
• Ensure understanding of scope, productivity, safety, and quality.
• Mentor junior staff and promote teamwork.
• Lead installation of counterpoise and grounding systems per specs.
