Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for complex construction projects in a client-facing capacity. You will guide cost estimation, planning and value engineering while ensuring alignment with project objectives.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with design teams and contractors, and a proactive approach to cost control across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related construction field.
• 5–7 years of cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium/large, high complexity projects.
• Construction consultancy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
• Review and contribute with design services and general contractor on cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist contractor with data accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimate updates and executive summaries for submissions.
• Coordinate sources of cost information for discussions with suppliers and subs.
