Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of complex Life Sciences construction projects. Acting as the key day-to-day client interface, you will ensure client objectives are achieved through the delivery of a value-added cost management service across manufacturing, laboratory, R&D, and related capital projects.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
5–7 years of cost management experience in construction.
RICS accreditation or working towards it preferred.
Experience leading cost management on medium to large projects of medium to high complexity.
Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
Provide estimate and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
Review and participate with the design services team and GC in developing cost estimates.
Reconcile changes and assist GC to ensure data accuracy.
Prepare cost estimate updates and executive summaries for submissions.
Coordinate all sources of cost information for discussions with suppliers and E&Es.
Develop cost plans and estimates through design phases with updates at milestones.
Lead negotiations on contract prices to drive fair outcomes.
Perform quantity surveying, cost controls and change management across the project lifecycle.
