Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management on Life Sciences capital projects in the United States. You will act as the key client interface, driving value through cost planning, budgeting, and change management across manufacturing, lab, and R&D facilities.

Responsibilities include estimating, negotiating change orders, reviewing cost plans with design teams and GC partners, and delivering timely cost reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation or working towards it is preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of procurement, value management and VE exercises.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning, including final cost plan.
• Review and participate with design teams and general contractor on cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist contractor with accurate data.
• Prepare cost updates and executive summaries for stakeholders.
• Manage cost checks, valuations and post-contract variances.
• Coordinate cost information from NPA, subs and A/Es for discussions.
• Lead cost management and ensure robust cost validation processes.
