Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking a Cost Engineer to join our team. You will develop comprehensive cost estimates for military construction and renovation projects, including MILCON, and serve as lead estimator in design workshops.

You will analyze designs, reviews, and proposals to ensure cost effectiveness, manage risk, and support project managers with cost control. A US citizen, 18+, with ability to obtain SECRET clearance is required, with relocation flexible as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 4–10 years of construction cost estimating and scheduling experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance.
• U.S. citizen age 18+ required.
• Must meet Selective Service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates for complex MILCON and renovation projects.
• Lead estimations in design workshops and advise on cost control.
• Analyze drawings to project costs and evaluate proposals.
• Review A/E cost estimates for compliance and QC in-house designs.
• Research labor/material costs and update data to mitigate risk.
