Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking experienced Cost Engineers to provide independent and timely cost estimating services for MILCON and related projects. You will develop preliminary, budget, and detailed estimates, advise on design and cost control, and support design workshops as a lead estimator.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, 4–10 years of estimating experience, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. U.S. citizenship and Selective Service compliance are also required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• 4–10 years of construction cost estimating and scheduling experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship age 18+ at time of hire; males must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for military construction and renovation projects.
• Lead estimator in design workshops and advise on cost control and constructability.
• Analyze designs to determine cost projections and evaluate contractor cost proposals.
• Review complex cost estimates from A/E firms and participate in quality control reviews.
• Research construction trends and update labor, materials, and equipment cost data.
