Job summary

Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP Health) is seeking a Registered Nurse for an in-person role at the Pierce County Jail in Washington. The RN will provide direct and indirect nursing care under supervision, adhering to State Board of Nursing standards and facility policies.

The position requires an active RN license, CPR, and at least 1 year of clinical experience; correctional healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of employment, as well as a valid CPR card.
Preferred minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
MAT or SUD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Follow nursing processes and policies to ensure quality care and compliance with accreditation standards.
Coordinate with the Health Services Administrator and Director of Nursing in healthcare delivery within the facility.
Utilize the EHR independently and assist with staff training as requested.
Communicate effectively with clients, peers, and staff at all levels to resolve issues.
Respond to medical emergencies and perform CPR as needed until relieved.
Document patient history, vital signs, examinations, and any changes in condition.
Assist with triage, minor procedures, and patient assessments.
Collaborate with nursing staff and leadership to streamline services and ensure safety.
