Job summary

CA Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation is seeking a Correctional Food Manager II for Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown. The role oversees the feeding program and directs culinary staff to ensure quality and timely meal service to inmates.

You will manage activities of the Assistant Correctional Food Manager and other culinary staff, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance with state standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of: storing, care, preparation, cooking and serving food in large quantities with quality control.
• Ability to: plan menus, direct staff, supervise inmate workers to ensure meals are served on time.
• Skill to: lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the feeding program for the institution and camps, including supervision of staff and inmate workers.
• Plan, organize and direct work activities of culinary staff to ensure efficient meal production and service.
