Apple Rehab Rocky Hill is seeking a Cook Supervisor to lead dietary staff and oversee meals for residents in a per diem role. You will supervise kitchen personnel, plan production, and coordinate with the Dietary Manager on purchasing and events.

The position emphasizes serving meals that meet residents' dietary requirements while maintaining quality, safety, and budget considerations in a hospital/long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Serv Safe Manager certification is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and unload stock.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and basic math.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to supervise and instruct others.
• Previous hospital or long-term care experience preferred.
• Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork.
• Keeps residents, staff and families informed professionally.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor dietary personnel, ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Prepare and serve meals tailored to residents' dietary requirements.
• Contribute to production planning, including forecasting needs and recipe development.
• Assist in procurement and proper storage of food and equipment.
• Ensure the dietary department delivers high-quality meals within budget.
• Operate kitchen equipment and adaptive tools for residents' needs.
• Respond to residents' requests with flexibility and timeliness.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager on facility-wide events.
