Job summary

Apple Rehab Mystic is seeking a Cook Supervisor to lead the dietary team and oversee meal preparation aligned with residents' dietary needs. The role partners with the Dietary Manager to ensure quality service in a warm, family-oriented facility in Mystic, CT.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Serv Safe Certification after 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to unload and stock groceries and lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, perform simple math, measure and record data.
• Attention to detail, good follow-through and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to supervise and instruct others.
• Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary personnel, ensuring policy adherence and quality meals.
• Prepare and serve meals tailored to residents' dietary requirements in coordination with the Dietary Manager.
• Contribute to production planning, forecasting needs and recipe development.
• Assist in procurement and proper storage of food and equipment.
• Ensure the dietary department delivers high-quality meals within budget.
