The Hilton San Diego Bayfront is seeking a talented Lead Cook for their culinary team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional cooking experience, previous supervisory experience, and strong communication and team-building skills. Adaptability and supportiveness are essential qualities, as this role offers growth opportunities within the culinary field.

A Cook Supervisor oversees and participates in food preparation according to recipes and standards, contributing to outstanding service and profitability.

What will I be doing?

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and preparing food according to recipes and quality standards
  • Maintaining cleanliness and food sanitation
  • Managing guest orders efficiently and courteously
  • Maintaining knowledge of menu and food products
  • Stocking and managing par levels at designated stations
  • Inspecting all food sent from the kitchen
  • Following proper food handling and storage procedures per regulations
  • Monitoring and developing team performance through supervision, training, and evaluations
  • Preparing requisitions for supplies and food items
