Job summary

The Ridge RTC is seeking a Lead Cook to support our campus food services, reporting to the Food Services Manager. You will prepare meals, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure safe, compliant operations across our program dining areas.

Responsibilities include menu assistance for diverse dietary needs, inventory, safety compliance, and collaboration with the broader Altior healthcare team to provide nourishing meals for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry and handle equipment and supplies.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk up and down the stairs.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Integrity and flexibility in a team setting.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals as directed by Food Services Manager.
• Supervise Cooks and manage weekly kitchen staff schedule.
• Ensure appropriate use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Help curate menus to meet dietary needs.
• Stock and restock food items and beverages.
• Ensure kitchen safety for staff and clients.
• Receive orders and assist in creating orders.
