Job summary

The Ridge RTC is seeking a Lead Cook to support our campus food services, reporting to the Food Services Manager. You will prepare meals, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure safe, compliant operations across our program dining areas.

Responsibilities include menu assistance for diverse dietary needs, inventory, safety compliance, and collaboration with the broader Altior healthcare team to provide nourishing meals for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Our family of services comprises three distinct mental health treatment programs, including a specialized program for US Veterans. With over 15 unique locations, we manage and support 500+ dedicated employees serving over 300 residential clients daily located across five states: California, Idaho, Maine, New Hampshire, and Texas.

POSITION SUMMARY: Reports to the Food Services Manager, the Lead Cook completes all assigned tasks in support of theprogram food services in accordance with food preparation and cleanliness laws andregulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare meals as directed by Food Services Manager
• Supervise Cooks and manage weekly kitchen staff schedule
• Ensure appropriate use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Help curate menus that meet a broad range of dietary needs, including but not limited to
• Stock and restock food items such as hot bar, salad bar, and food for dorms
• Refill beverages as needed
• Ensure kitchen safety precautions are followed by staff and clients
• Receive orders and assist Food Service Manager in creating orders
• Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and safety of the kitchen areas
• Support and promote a culture of inclusion and respect among students and fellow staff
• in our school and community
• Comply with all safety laws and regulations and Ridge policies and procedures
• Help wash dishes as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Salary Range

$23 - $25 USD
