Modern Market Eatery is seeking a motivated Cook to join our back-of-house team in Austin, TX. You will help prepare high-quality, healthy dishes from scratch in a fast-paced, open kitchen. We value friendly, enthusiastic team players who focus on guest experience and are eager to learn.

You’ll contribute to menu concepts, maintain consistent cooking methods, and help ensure safety and cleanliness in the kitchen. Training is provided to onboard new team members and help you grow with the brand.

Qualifications

• Restaurant experience welcomed; training provided on board.
• Team-oriented with enthusiasm and guest focus.
• Willingness to learn and be part of a TEAM.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and update menus with seasonal ingredients.
• Lead and manage back-of-house staff, including prep cooks and dishwashers.
• Execute recipes with precision and consistency.
• Continuously expand culinary knowledge of techniques and best practices.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all food meets culinary and safety standards.
• Comply with restaurant standards for safety, hygiene, and quality.
• Manage trash, cardboard, and recyclable materials.
• Handle kitchen equipment and clean spills promptly throughout the shift.
