Job summary

Sky River Casino in Elk Grove is seeking a Lead Cook for the Pub, reporting to the Executive Chef. The role oversees line cooks, ensures proper portioning, plating, and presentation of all dishes, and maintains clean, stocked stations at all times.

The Lead Cook coordinates with the kitchen team to meet guest needs, adheres to safety and sanitation policies, and supports training and periodic departmental procedures as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work of cooks to ensure that all given tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensures that all cooking stations are adequately stocked with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepares all dishes and proper portion control of items ordered for assigned outlet.
• Assists with the preparation, presentation, decoration, and storage of all food items.
• Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information.
• Maintains the work area clean and organized. Deep cleans the area at the end of shifts.
