Job summary

Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced Cook to supervise and assist in the preparation of all food items for our Restaurant, Dining Outlet, Cafe, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets. The role emphasizes maintaining the highest standards to deliver appealing, appetizing meals.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisory experience in a hotel kitchen, can handle high-pressure environments, and is committed to consistent quality, safety, and teamwork

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related progressive culinary experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Must have Food Handlers Certification and comply with state requirements.
• Clear communication and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to interpret and apply recipes and maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist in preparation of all food items for Restaurant, Dining Outlet, Cafe, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets.
• Ensure high standards of quality, presentation and food safety across all outlets.
• Coordinate with banquet events and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Train and mentor staff, monitor performance, and manage shifts.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per Avion Hospitality standards.
• Attend management meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
