Qualifications

• Lead Cook role supervising kitchen staff in the absence of the Chef.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety practices.
• Maintain recipes, production forecasts, and cost-conscious kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper food preparation, equipment use, and safety.
• Conduct sensory evaluations to ensure top-quality ingredients and correct recipes are used.
• Report substandard products for immediate corrective action.
• Maintain proper timing and pace during service to ensure timely delivery of meals.
• Ensure culinary staff schedules are followed and adjust as directed.
• Monitor production flow and enforce cost and quality control procedures.
• Oversee proper receiving, storage, labeling, dating, and rotation of foods.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment across the department.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and report any equipment in need of repair.
