Job summary

Foodland Farms Ala Moana is seeking a Lead Cook for The Bar, in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. This high-energy culinary role offers an hourly wage of $20.50–$26.00 with comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, and a 401k.

You will support the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and lead line staff when on the line. The ideal candidate has strong knife and cooking skills, knowledge of kitchen procedures, and a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior management experience in a culinary position in a high-volume food service establishment.
• Knife and cooking skills required.
• Must have recent TB Clearance.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and assisting the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Oversee kitchen needs in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef.
• Maintain line authority over line staff when on the line.
• Observe and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Ensure safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
• Assist with management of culinary staff.
