Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for a correctional facility kitchen in Sedgwick Detention Facility, KS. You will coordinate and supervise staff to maintain quality and efficiency in a fast-paced setting, ensuring meals meet safety and presentation standards.

The role requires prior culinary experience in high-volume settings, strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while delivering excellent service to inmates and staff.

Qualifications

• At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising a team and providing friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and train employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation.
• Ensure meal services begin on time and portions, appearance and temperature meet standards.
