Job summary

Fleet Farm is seeking a Convenience Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive team performance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience at our Convenience and Fuel Store. You’ll oversee inventory, merchandising, profitability, and safety while building a high-energy, customer-first culture.

You’ll recruit and coach a team of 8–10, partner with HR on hiring, enforce policies, and use sales data to improve performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of retail management experience (convenience or fuel store experience a plus).
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on employee engagement and development.
• Proven track record of delivering outstanding customer service.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable managing cash handling, fuel sales, and promotions.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
• Computer and point-of-sale system proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 8–10 team members.
• Maintain store operations: cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal.
• Manage inventory, shrink, and backroom activities.
• Enforce policies and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, EEOC, DOL).
• Deliver best-in-class customer service and resolve issues.
• Monitor store performance using sales data.
• Oversee wage and expense control programs.
• Implement in-store marketing and seasonal displays.
